Poems and Stories Found While Walking in Woods
by Stephen Harrod Buhner

THE SADNESS OF OLD MEN

Never to touch
such a throat again,
never to lie nestled
in the curve of such an arm,
one leg thrown over another,
penis hard and throbbing,
male pollen seeking passage,
locked in perfumed
and moist embrace,
crying out
amongst the petals of her hair,
hands clenched tightly
together
as she releases that sound
from deep inside her,
that joins with mine.
Oh God! Never.
